VisionRGB-E1s Single
Port Capture Card

The VisionRGB-E1s has a single capture channel
supporting up to 1920x1080 DVI or 2048x1536 Analog
resolution. The VisionRGB-E1s captures the Analog/DVI
data and triple buffers it into onboard storage. This
data is then copied using DMA to the host system for
display, storage or streaming.
When a Datapath graphics card is used, the
VisionRGB-E1s transfers the data directly to the
graphics card thereby increasing performance. The
VisionRGB-E1s sends the relevant portions of each
captured image to each display channel and instructs
each channel to use its graphics engine to render the
data. This fully utilises the hardware and dramatically
increases performance.
When the RGB/DVI data is displayed on a non Datapath
graphics card, the VisionRGB-E1s sends the data to
system memory or direct to the graphics card, dependant
on the software used for display.
The VisionRGB-E1s is an ideal solution for
applications that require the capture of Analog or DVI
sources in real time. Typical applications include:
- Viewing Analog or DVI sources from PCs, MACs, Industrial/medical
equipment, cameras and other video equipment

VisionRGB-X2 Dual Port Card

A stand alone 64bit PCI-X plug in card, the VisionRGB-X2 captures
the display output (analog RGB or single link DVI) from one source
and then displays it as an independent application on your Windows®
desktop. This is done in real time, enabling you to view data from
PCs, MACs, industrial/medical equipment, cameras and other video
equipment. The VisionRGB-X2 has two DVI-I type connectors for
simultaneously feeding two independent data sources directly into
your main PC.
The VisionRGB-X2 captures the analog RGB/DVI data and stores it
in an on-board video buffer. This data is then copied using Direct
Memory Access (DMA) to the host system for display, storage or
streaming.
When a Datapath graphics card is used, the VisionRGB-X2 transfers
the data directly to the graphics card thereby increasing
performance. The VisionRGB-X2 sends the relevant portions of each
captured image to each display channel and instructs each channel to
use its graphics engine to render the data. This fully utilizes the
hardware and dramatically increases performance.
When the RGB/DVI data is displayed on a non Datapath graphics card,
the VisionRGB-X2 sends the data to system memory or direct to the
graphics card, dependant on the software used for display
The VisionRGB-X2 is supplied with a DirectShow compatible WDM
streaming driver, enabling software applications supporting the
DirectShow interface to use the card as a capture device. Software
such as Windows Media Encoder® can be used with the VisionRGB-X2
card, as well as many other DirectShow applications offering a wide
choice of capture and streaming capabilities.
-
The VisionRGB-X2 has a powerful software application for
configuring the timing and the format of the input sources and
displaying the captured data.
The VisionRGB-X2 is supplied with 2 x VGA to DVI converter
VisionRGB-X2
- DMA transfers the data across the PCI bus without using host
CPU cycles
- On board processor minimizes system CPU load
- When used with the Datapath range of graphics adapters, the
CPU load is negligible even if the image is being upscaled to a
video wall, resulting in real time performance
- The VisionRGB-X2 captures data at a maximum pixel rate of
340MHz. Once captured, the data is converted to either 555, 565
or 888 pixel and YUV mode formats and then transferred over the
PCI bus to host memory, for display on the desktop
- Dynamic Input Source Selection
- Administrator Mode
- Update Indicator
- The VisionRGB-X2 application program is also built into the
Datapath Wall Control software for video wall systems

SIP Digital Stream Bus
The Datapath SIP video bus operates at 5Gb/s and
is used to broadcast the captured video to the
graphics adapters. Each graphics adapter has 4
video overlay processors, one per display
channel. The overlay processors select the
required video channel from the SIP video
stream, crops and scales the video window onto
the output channel. Each overlay processor has
16 scalers and cropping units allowing up to 16
video windows to be positioned on each display
output. (Maximum 64 windows per graphics
adapter)

VisionRGB-PRO 1

Some working environments require constant
access to RGB/VGA data from another source.
Traditionally this data is transmitted over
special cabling as an analog RGB signal for
display on dedicated screens which sit alongside
other Windows® based screens. The drawback of
such a solution is that you need an extra
monitor for every RGB data feed and therefore
reduced space in the work environment. The
VisionRGB-PRO is the ideal solution to this
problem - and means you can integrate the RGB
data and get rid of the dedicated terminal.
A standalone PCI plug in card, the VisionRGB-PRO
captures the display output (e.g. the analogue
RGB data) from 1 computer screen and then
displays it as an independent application, on
your Windows® desktop. The VisionRGB-PRO2 has 2
VGA compatible inputs for simultaneously feeding
2 independent data sources directly into your
main PC. The data is then converted on the
VisionRGB-PRO and displayed as a standard
Windows® application on your desktop. All your
data in one place, and no need for that
dedicated monitor.
The VisionRGB-PRO can be operated with any
standard graphics adapter and is supplied with
Windows® 2000, Windows® XP-Pro and Windows®
Vista 32bit drivers. For applications requiring
improved update rates and lower system overhead
then we recommend using the Vantage4 or iH4
range of graphics adapters. The Vision RGB
software, when used with the Datapath graphics
cards, implements direct DMA to the graphics
texture memory. The captured RGB is then
rendered to the display using hardware texture
mapping to greatly improve performance. This
implementation dramatically improves update
rates when the image is up-scaled as would be
required with video wall and data wall
applications.
Up to 32 VisionRGB-PRO cards can be installed in
a single system, providing up to 64 channels of
RGB capture.
Each part of the up-scaled image is rendered by
the associated graphics processor, effectively
parallel processing the up-scaling process.
The VisionRGB-PRO is also supplied with a
powerful software application for configuring
the timing and the format of the input sources
and displaying the captured data. We also
provide an SDK so you can interface the
VisionRGB-PRO to your own applications.
