Media walls are sometimes referred to video walls or data walls. The difference is the type of information being displayed on the wall. So what is a media wall and what formats are available. A media wall is a large electronic display of a single image or set of images. Typically multiple display devices are tiled together as close as possible to form a matrix that gives a single screen look. The media wall uses a video processor to either scale the image across all the screens or provide separate images to each screen.
The individual screens in the media wall can be as small as 4 inches diagonally or as large as 120 inches diagonally. A front or rear projection system is used to display the images depending on the size of the wall and room available for installation. Light emitting diodes (LED) are used in the wall for displaying images of data. LEDs can be as small as 0.5 mm to present fine quality images that can provide high definition quality contrast and sharpness of the images being displayed.
